This is a contract full-time position. Open until filled. Manages a community-based branch of Stanford Hospital Health Library and supervises on-site volunteers. Directs the preparation of patron research packets and performs on-line database searches for consumer health library. Serves as community liaison, promoting Stanford Hospital Health Library services. Assists in the staffing, promotion, and delivery of services for all library sites, working closely with other library staff. Works with the Director to implement the systems and technical service provided by the Library at all sites. Maintains computers and refers to IT for support of both staff and public-access Internet services.
Works with Librarian at Stanford Shopping Center Branch to ensure that library collection meets patron needs. Trains, manages and supports volunteer staff. Participates in the planning process for library expenditures and physical facilities . Coordinates staffing for branch. Participates in promotion planning and responsible for implementing segments of the plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:
M.L.S. OR M.L.I.S. required, familiarity and experience with medical terminology necessary. Experience with on-line database management and searching. Experience in personnel management, training and supervision. Interest and experience in public service and volunteer relations. Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to work with diverse agencies and individuals. Self motivated and committed to a quality information service.
