In this key role, you will provide reference services to faculty, students, members of the Bar and the public, provide legal research instruction in classes, as part of library orientation tours and to individuals, and develop library and educational outreach programs. We’ll also rely on you to supervise the Associate Librarian for Reference, administer the librarianship extern program, serve as faculty liaison, schedule reference desk hours and supervise reference desk activities. You will be expected to assist in collection development, maintain reference and microform collections, compile reference department statistics, create/maintain content on the Library’s web site and supervise, hire and train student assistants for the micrographics and public services departments.

Qualified candidates must have an MLS from an ALA-accredited school (JD desirable), 3+ years of professional experience including reference and supervisory responsibilities in a law library, and experience teaching methods of legal research. A team player with excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills is essential, as is a willingness to work evening and weekend hours. Experience in web site design is highly desirable.

This opportunity offers an annual hiring range of $68,760-$88,344, commensurate with qualifications, and an excellent fringe benefits package.
