The next Bibliotecas para la Gente meeting is Friday January 13th in San José. (BPLG) is a non-profit organization with a mission to support the efforts of professionals and paraprofessionals working in the library field who are interested in developing and providing library services for the Spanish speaking and Latino communities of Northern California.

This is a great chance to catch up with other BPLG members, meet new members and contribute to this great group. At this meeting you’ll have a chance to listen and learn from members, Adrian Barrientos, Lael Takiguchi, Dora Irene Morales, and Maynard Martinez when they present La Pasión De La Colección, the presentation they gave at the REFORMA National Conference in September.  This is a great opportunity to get info on collection development for Spanish speaking and Latino library users.  We’ll have a short BPLG meeting followed by the presentation, so come early and get ready for an info filled get together.
