Library Science Professional Day
Librarians Leading The Way

You will learn a variety of approaches to professional development from a team of public and private school librarians who are experienced staff development leaders in their own schools. Participants will leave the session with models, strategies and their own plans for differentiated hands-on PD they can use at their own schools.  The school librarians leading the workshop with Debbie Abilock, speaker and consultant, include Susan Smith, Harker School; Anne Arriaga, Moreau Catholic; Susan Geiger, Moreau Catholic; Connie Williams, Petaluma School District; and Marilyn Kimura, Nueva School. They are among those featured in Growing Schools (Libraries Unlimited, 2012), the stories of challenges and successes of librarians who have taken on the task of faculty learning.
