San Jose State University’s SLISConnect, will hold an in-person Resume & Interview Workshop this Spring! And we need your help! The event will take place on Saturday, April 28th. This in-person event will take place on the SJSU campus from 1:00-4:00 pm.

We need professional librarians and information specialists to be panelists, resume reviewers and mock interviewers. You can do more than one thing if you want to!

Our panel topic is “The librarians of the future”. What trends do you see in your library? What skills do you see as crucial to remain relevant in librarianship? How can librarians keep their skills up to date? If you have ideas about this topic, please consider signing up as a panelist.

After our panel of speakers, we will then have students meet with individual resume reviewers and mock interviewers. Resume reviewers would meet with students and provide tips for about 15-20 minutes. Mock interviewers would meet with students and perform mock interviews with them.

Interested? The event is fun, rewarding, and a great addition to the CV-plus it is a great networking opportunity! Refreshments will also be provided during the event.

If you have an interest in participating or learning more, please let me know as soon as possible and please indicate your area of interest.

Thank you,
