Stephanie Roach, Technical Services Librarian at John F. Kenndy University, is researching use of social media by information professional groups, including those made up of students, paraprofessionals, and/or professionals. Her research is primarily focused on the San Francisco Bay Area library community, though she is also interested in responses from other information professionals (museums, archives, etc.). Details of the project can be found on her website.

The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Participation in the survey is voluntary, all responses are anonymous, and no compensation will be provided for completing the survey. However, research results will be shared with the professional community and any individuals who request a copy of the results.

The survey will be open through Monday October 15, 2012. Findings will be presented in a poster session at the 2012 California Library Association annual conference.

In order to increase the number of responses to the survey, please share this email and survey link with groups and individuals you know, who might be interested in participating.
