The Director of the University Library is responsible for leadership and overall management of library services and collections. They are particularly interested in finding a leader who can be an advocate of the library and manage the planning, budgeting, and staffing in support of the academic, instructional and information needs of faculty, students and staff.
The Director of the University Library reports to the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, who in turn reports to the President. The GGU administrative style embraces collaboration and consultation as essential elements in decision making. This reflects the commitment in higher education to a form of shared governance with faculty, requiring effective communication, negotiation, and balancing of multiple priorities.
