The Library is building a pool of candidates for possible temporary, part-time, short-term appointments in instruction/public services and technical services. Ideal candidates for an instruction/public services position will be passionate about teaching and public service, enthusiastic about helping undergraduates succeed academically, and cognizant of the unique challenges and opportunities of working with first-year students. Candidates for technical services positions should have experience with electronic resources management and/or digital projects. The ability to work in a shared decision-making environment as well as a sense of humor and fun are essential.
Located 50 miles north of San Francisco in beautiful Sonoma County, the University Library in the Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center offers a dynamic learning environment in a modern, flexible space with extensive information resources and an automated retrieval system.
This position requires an ALA-accredited MLS, MLIS, or equivalent and teaching/reference or technical services experience.
Rank: Assistant Librarian. Full-time is 15-unit workload per semester. Actual salary is dependent upon number of units assigned, educational preparation, and availability of funds subject to any CSU system faculty contract salary increases.
