Menlo College has an opening for a part-time Information Services Librarian to begin Fall Semester 2014.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Library Services, the Information Services Librarian is responsible for providing reference and research assistance to a diverse population of undergraduate users, including adult learners in the Professional Studies Program, as well as faculty and staff. This position will also teach library instruction sessions.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: reference and library instruction; collection development; access services; systems management.
Desired qualifications include previous experience in an academic or public library; familiarity with an integrated library system, preferably INNOPAC/Millennium; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; and a strong commitment to excellent public service.
An ALA-accredited MLIS is required.
This position is part-time, 10-25 hours per week. Night-time and occasional weekend hours will be required.
