Just 50 miles north of San Francisco in beautiful Sonoma County, the University Library in the Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center is student-focused library that thrives on innovation and creativity. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative, and future-oriented professional to join our team.
The Collection Development Librarian will provide leadership for assessing and developing the library’s collections in a collaborative team environment. This successful candidate will bring a forward-thinking and strategic perspective, keep an eye on new and emerging trends in collection development, and craft an innovative approach to the library’s collections that is both student-centered and responsive to changing University curriculum. This person will also serve as a liaison to designated departments on campus, and will work collaboratively with a team of library faculty to create a cohesive and progressive information literacy curriculum, and to integrate information literacy into disciplinary curricula.
This position requires an ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS/MIS degree, at least three years experience in an academic library, experience in collection development, acquisitions, and/or electronic resources, and experience providing instruction to students in an academic environment.
