JOB: Data Services and Assessment Librarian, UCSF Library, San Francisco

The Library and Center for Knowledge Management at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) seeks a dynamic, innovative, and service-oriented professional for the position of Data Services and Assessment Librarian. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach to developing new services and tools and a track record in implementing data and assessment services and programs.

The Data Services and Assessment Librarian will provide leadership in the development, implementation, and delivery of the Library’s initiatives to provide data services to the UCSF community and build the foundation for a campus-wide Data Sciences Center. The position is responsible for providing consultation and educational services on data-related issues, including data discovery, organization, visualization, and sharing, as well as designing community building data-related events. The incumbent will work closely with other library staff to design, develop, and implement a suite of cohesive and comprehensive data services for the UCSF community.

In the assessment arena, the incumbent will lead the development of a library-wide assessment program. As chair of the Assessment Committee, the incumbent will lead the planning, design, development, facilitation, and implementation of collaborative library assessment initiatives that will lead to service improvement for library users.
