The Collection Development Librarian will provide leadership for developing and assessing the library’s collections in a collaborative team environment. This successful candidate will bring a forward-thinking and strategic perspective, keep an eye on new and emerging trends in collection development, and craft an innovative approach to the library’s collections that is both student-centered and responsive to University curriculum. This person will also serve as a liaison to designated departments on campus, and will participate in building a progressive information literacy curriculum.
This position requires an ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS/MIS degree, at least three years experience in an academic library, and experience with collection development and management, acquisitions, and/or electronic resource management. This position has the potential to be hired at the Associate level.
