JOB: Librarian for Research and Instruction (Math & Science), Holy Names University, Oakland

The HNU Cushing Library is seeking an experienced academic librarian to undertake a variety of responsibilities including instruction, reference, outreach, and technology services as a full-time member of our team.

The Librarian for Research and Instruction will serve as a liaison to the Math & Sciences Division, as well as the graduate Nursing Department, cultivating strong collaborative relationships with teaching faculty; maintaining an understanding of the university’s research and teaching programs; promoting library activities within the HNU community; and collaborating on campus-centered and university-wide cooperative initiatives to deliver timely and effective services.

Holy Names University is interested in candidates with at least two years of academic library experience, particularly in reference and instruction. Instruction experience should include designing, implementing, and assessing information literacy instruction at the college level. An undergraduate or higher degree in the life sciences OR two years working experience as a life sciences librarian in an academic or research library is preferred.
