The Alameda County Library is looking for qualified and innovative candidates to fill several Librarian II vacancies at various branches as well as in positions serving incarcerated populations through the Library’s Social Justice Services unit. While part-time and full-time candidates are needed in assignments focusing on service to children, teens, and adults, the largest number of vacancies are in service to children. Incumbents in these positions will develop creative age-appropriate services for children, teens, and adults respectively, as well as conduct outreach throughout the community to enhance and market library services. While the list established from this recruitment will be used to fill the immediate vacancies, this list may also be used to fill vacancies that may arise in the future in the Alameda County Library.
