Reporting to the Dean for Library and Academic Resources, the Head of Collection Management oversees the operational management, administration, acquisitions, discovery and access to scholarly resources in all formats. This position is responsible for establishing and implementing technical collection support services, policies, standards, best practices and procedures for the Library.
The Head oversees funds for new library materials and manages a department of four staff who process more than 5,000 orders and 1,000 invoices annually and make scholarly electronic and print materials available for the college community.
The Head of Collection Management keeps up with library and publishing trends and takes an active role in library leadership and administration through planning, goal-setting, problem-solving, and evaluation, including assessment of staff, vendors, processes and procedures.
