The College and the District | Cañada College is part of the San Mateo County Community College District and is designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), enrolling approximately 11,000 students each academic year. The Position | The College seeks a full-time, temporary faculty member in the Library. This specific assignment is projected to run concurrently with the fall 2022 semester only (August 15, 2022 – December 15, 2022). The ideal candidate will share the College’s commitment to educating a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population.The primary responsibility of this position is to provide focused support for the delivery of library instruction, services, and resources to diverse populations at Cañada College. The Librarian also participates in other essential work areas including reference, information literacy instruction, and collection development. This position requires self-direction, flexibility, ability to work well with others as part of a team, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. This assignment may include evening and weekend hours. |
