Santa Clara University Library seeks applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Dean for Learning & Engagement. The selected candidate will be an imaginative and innovative leader who articulates a vision and provides leadership for the Access & Delivery Services, Instruction & Assessment, and Research, Outreach & Inclusion departments. 

This position is a leader in the implementation of key aspects of the Library’s strategic plan which centers social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. Reporting to the Dean of the University Library, and in partnership and collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Collections & Scholarly Communication, the Assistant Dean for Learning & Engagement shares in the responsibilities for general administrative decision-making, resource management, assessment, priority-setting, and development of policies for library operations and services within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

The Assistant Dean for Learning & Engagement will be a highly collaborative, creative and strategic leader. The Assistant Dean will provide exceptional management and leadership in the direct reporting areas and will foster an environment where strategic and well-informed innovation is encouraged.
