Librarian

Job Description Summary:

The successful candidate will work out of the Oakland campus library. This is a Full-time position. Working days are generally M-F, with occasional weekend and evening shifts as needed.
The librarian will split their time between reference/research services and collection development.

• Provides comprehensive reference and digital assistance in the fields of health sciences for the students, faculty, and staff.

• Collection Development: With the librarians, analyze and develop the physical and electronic collections, with the goal of creating an efficient and effective selection and processing of materials in all formats.
• With input from the librarians, create a collection development policy.
• Ability to utilize Springhare’s LibApps suite (i.e., LibGuides, LibAnswers, etc.) to engage with library users;
• Ability to utilize software such as Zoom and MS Teams.
• Cover shifts in the library;
