Description
Please join your SLA and BayNet colleagues for a “behind the scenes” tour of the Shelf Life exhibit at the Doe Library at the University of California Berkeley. This tour will be led by Hannah Tashjian, Interim Head of Preservation, Rosemary Sallee, Unit Head for Bindery Preparation and Preservation Replacement, and Martha Little, Library Conservator for the UC Berkeley Library.
The “Shelf life” exhibit showcases some of the invisible work that goes into making sure that library collections are not lost to time. We will also get a tour of the conservation lab. After the tour, for those who would like to join us, we will have an early dinner at Tender Greens on University Ave close to the BART station and parking.
