After serving a complete term as BayNet President, Dean Jones has stepped down from the position. The Executive Board is most appreciative of his service.

Per the BayNet bylaws, article IV.4.1, a vacancy in the office of President is filled by the Vice-President.  The Vice-Presidency is currently vacant as well.  Per article IV.4.2, a vacancy in the office of Vice-President/President-elect shall be filled by a special election.

On January 18, 2023, an ad hoc nominating committee approved the nomination of Marisela Meskus for the office of BayNet Vice President / President-elect.

The special election ballots have been emailed to all members as of 11:30am, Jan. 21. If you are a BayNet member and did not receive your ballot, please contact Patrick Vallez-Kelly (Secretary) at one of the contact points given below.

The election will be decided by a majority of submitted ballots. The election form will be open for voting through 11:59 p.m., January 31, 2023.

If elected, Marisela will serve as Vice President/President-elect until the BayNet Annual Meeting to be held in the spring of 2023, at which time she will fill the vacancy in the office of BayNet President.
