Style: Informal but informative blog posts relevant to the interests of BayNet Members with a focus on interdisciplinary communication. News articles should be factual and inviting, preferably concerning the institution with which the author is affiliated. Opinion pieces should be well researched, and professional with an emphasis on sharing knowledge with fellow professionals of related professions. Links to relevant information is encouraged.

Format: Electronic submissions are preferred. Submissions should be sent to  baynetlibs@gmail.com with the phrase BayNet News Submission in the subject line.

Length: 500 – 1000 words.

Rights: BayNet will request non-exclusive rights for digital publication only. Segments of the post may be included in a quarterly digital newsletter.

Reports: The editor will attempt to report back on the status of submissions between 1-2 weeks. Written reminders by the author after that period are welcomed, and usually result in a prompt reply.

Publication Date: An estimated publication date will be supplied to the author. Articles will usually be published within a month’s time of acceptance.

Editing: On accepted articles, the editor reserves the right to make editorial revisions, deletions, or additions that, in their opinion, supports the author’s intent. When changes are substantial, every effort is made to work with the author.
