The County Librarian seeks a Director of County Library Communication and Marketing with the intention, commitment, personal and professional characteristics, and skills to implement and evaluate communication and marketing strategies and plans designed to increase the Library’s brand identity to broaden awareness of programs and services, and promote community and patron engagement.
In collaboration with the County Librarian, the Director will provide for greater efficiencies and address the workload and long-term needs of the County Library system. Library Administration determined that a high-level communication and marketing plan is needed to handle the current and future demands to communicate and market the valuable services the library has to offer to the community.
An ideal candidate should be an experienced leader of excellent character and integrity who shares the mission of the County Library. A qualified candidate would typically possess education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Marketing, Public Communication, Media Relations, Business or Public Administration or a related field, and at least 3 years of broad management experience as a communication and marketing professional including supervision of public and media relations staff.
