Makerspaces have become quite a hot topic in libraries these days.  But what is a makerspace?  What does one look like?  What about getting a 3D printer?  And how do you know if this whole maker thing is a good fit for your library?

Take a tour of the College of San Mateo Library’s new makerspace, and benefit from the experience of a panel of librarians who have brought some aspect of maker culture into their library or institution. We’ll talk about what it takes to get started, some funding possibilities, putting ideas into practice, and finally evaluating and documenting all your hard work.
